McGregor Metalworking Installs a New Vertical Mill in Its Carmichael Machine Facility

Springfield, OH – The McGregor Metalworking Companies recently added an additional vertical machining center at its Carmichael Machine facility to increase capacity and capability.  The YCM XV series machining center is designed for high-tolerance contract manufacturing.  “Machining is a center of excellence for McGregor and this VMC is a perfect fit for our core markets” said Keith Bowers, Carmichael Machine’s Plant Manager.  “This piece of equipment supports our focus on productivity and quality while adding capacity for our business growth.”

Equipped with through spindle cooling the machine delivers competitive machining rates and provides for increased  tool life, both important in today’s business of high-tolerance machining.  Mike Browning, Sales Account Manager for Carmichael Machine comments “We are expanding our business and this addition is a valuable tool in winning new work.  It also adds the flexibility that allows us to move existing jobs better suited for this machine which frees up larger equipment for larger components.”
