Kevin Cleary Joins McGregor Metalworking Companies as Vice President of Operations
Springfield, OH – The McGregor Metalworking Companies is pleased to announce that it has hired Kevin Cleary to be the Vice President of Operations of its five manufacturing facilities. Mr. Cleary will be based in Springfield where four of the five plants are located with the fifth being in Aiken, South Carolina.
“In searching for an executive for this position we focused on individuals who exhibited a strong career path in safely operating metals processing facilities. Kevin has that, but much more” said Dane Belden, President of McGregor Metalworking. “We have a strong culture of customer satisfaction as well as employee development and it was important that our choice shared these values.
”Mr. Cleary began his career in the management training program at Republic Steel and for the next 15 years he worked his way up through the organization. Seeing that more career opportunities existed in the conversion of steel, he moved to Shiloh Industries eventually becoming the Group General Manager of their Blanking Business.
His next challenge was to take control of a specialty metal stamping company serving the automotive market where, as President, he led the turnaround of the business. In Mr. Belden’s view: “This rich base of experience with a variety of businesses and people will bring a new level of depth to McGregor and will allow us to continue effectively in our growth cycle.”
