Job Responsibilities

Leadership

Duties performed as a working leader.

Efficiency

Responsible for correct set-ups, set-up times, improving hit to hit time, efficiencies and productivity of area.

Quality Assurance

Assists associate(s) with initial inspection to assure quality of parts produced.

Documentation

Oversees completion of paperwork on quality, piece count and material traceability.

Training

Assist with and coordinate training of new hire associates and any additional training needed for seasoned associates. This includes all aspects of Plex.

Management

Ensures associates are manufacturing parts to print or works with tool room/quality personnel to accomplish requirements.

Maintenance

Determines need for maintenance and works with maintenance/tool room to accomplish requirements.

Equipment

Oversees and/or performs all material handling issues to keep equipment up and running. Includes disposition of all raw, WIP, scrap and hold items and pre-staging dies, material and containers.

Troubleshoot

Troubleshoots machine problems, and assists with resolving problems.

Scheduling

Work with scheduler and production manager to prioritize and coordinate schedule.

Monitoring

Monitor walk-about information and follow up as necessary.

Organization

Ensures that associates maintain clean and orderly work area, including organized tools.

Safety

Perform duties in a safe manner with attention to quality.

Communication

Must be able to lead others and keep associates motivated and enthusiastic.

Job Requirements

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Safety

Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required while performing duties in production areas.

Experience

Previous experience with machine operations required, specifically Punch Press Operations.

Skills

Maintain organized schedules and filing.

Data Entry

Some computer literacy and data entry knowledge.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed in a factory environment.

Physical Demands

Requires frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and prolonged standing. May be required to lift up to 25 pounds continuously throughout an eight (8) hour shift. Requires normal vision and hearing range. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
